Mage historical events
1794 - Whiskey Rebellion

Militia was sent in from several states. Along with this militia were three enilisted members who were Euthies. They remained in the Pitt area, building the first Pittsburgh chantry. It became a training ground and safe haven for the Euthies and remains so to this day.

1845 - The Great Fire - Establishment of the open chantry

In 1845 Pittsburg was struck by a large fire, taking out over a thousand buildings. In the midst of the rebuilding, the Wake Snakes (a name chosen to snub the mage society, if they were thought to 'raise a rukus' by not sticking to stereotypes, then that was all right with them.) cabal decided to stay and build a chantry to shove in the face of the rest of the mage world. The Wake Snakes consisted of 3 British cultists, a French CC and a Native American DreamSpeaker. The leader of their cabal, a cultist named Hannah, realized that while their motely crew couldn't find a place in the traditional political world, there was no reason why they couldn't make one.
Joined together with the similarity of being outcasts, they built the Wake Snakes Chantry. Open to those who were willing to look beyond the surface and care for humanity rather than their own personal enlightenment alone. The chantry holds the same original purpose it did then.

1870 - Establishment of the OoH chantry

With the increasing population and movement towards industrialization the Carnegie Institute of Technology, now Carnegie Mellon Univerity, was established. With this, the Order moved into Pittsburb, eager to have a first hand chance at prospective members of their tradition. Alpha Gamma Sigma House was built.

1880 - Technocratic Presence

With money, comes recognition. Pittsburg was finally proving to be a reconing force in the world of commerce. And with it, a blooming population needing the gentle guiding hand of technological advancement that the Technocrats were happy to offer. Their involvement in the city was slow at first, but as the 1900's rolled around the city started to make a change from industrialism to service trade. Because the city was over looked by mage society, it made easy prey for the Techies. With little mage presence there was no one to provide even a small challenge to this new developement.

1926 - Wake Snake Chantry Renamed

As the city continued expanding and delving more into steel production, the chantry elected for a name change. While ever respectful of their founders, Weaving Steel was adopted.

1930 - Pittsburgh Council is Established

As the city suddenly found itself quite diversified, the mages themselves were as well. Having enough presence in the city, the chantry leaders recognized a need for more structure. The Wake Snake chantry surprisingly was the first to make a move towards this, ironic in that it was built to snub such things. But chaos was beginning to reign and newly awakened mages were being lost to stupidity and lack of guidance/direction. The original council represented five traditions... The Cult, The CC, The Euthanatos, The Order and The Dreamspeakers. The Dreamspeakers were represented by a man named Gabra who came from Louisiana. He was unsettling to be around, but his power was unmatched, and was able to do things most mages never even imagine. His reasons for accepting a council position were never known, and he dissapeared shortly after, no trace of him has been found. The Council since then has remained at four representatives.
